Arthur A. Jones Arthur Jones is a native of West Virginia, USA, and is a linguist
of sorts (BA, WVU; Diplom, Sprachwissenschaft, Bonn, Germany) and a lawyer
of sorts (J.D., WVU; admitted to practice in West Virginia and US Federal Courts;

He and his long-time law partner and wife, Robin
Wiseman, have practiced, taught, and lived in much of Europe for the past
forty years, including Germany, France, Austria, The Netherlands, Belgium,
Switzerland,
Italy, England, the Channel Island of Guernsey, and other countries. They
now divide their time between Los Angeles, California, and Genoa, Italy.
They are also
consultant advisors to governments and police forces in policing methods for
the 21st century, combining the best practices in human rights,
community policing and societal crime prevention. They co-authored a book published
in 2006, Полиция в близост до обществото (Policia v blizost do obštestvoto “Police in Partnership with the Community”), Sophia, Bulgaria, now being used
as a manual for Bulgaria’s National Police. A sample of their work can be seen
in the Winter 2006–2007 edition of the Fulbright Commission’s
periodical, The Funnel (www.fulbright.de/funnel) pp. 35–37).
Arthur’s ancestral language was Gothic, and he often writes songs and poems
about the diaspora of the Goths between 50 B.C. and 711 A.D., as in his book The Goths: Children of the Storm published in 2009.
